ARTIST BIO : JOSH BLANARU

Josh Blanaru, San Francisco photographer and artist

Photography is my way of observing the world – capturing the intangible through light, shadow, and form. I am drawn to abstract silhouettes, complex shadows, and accidental patterns that tell a story beyond the obvious. Through my art, I find beauty in the overlooked and reveal mystery in the everyday.

My photography has been recognized by international juried panels, including the Minimalist Photography Awards, Teravarna, and Gallery 4%.

Recently, my work has been featured in San Francisco, including a solo exhibition at The Waterfront Gallery inside Pier 23, as well as group shows at Hunt & Gather and West Portal Gallery.
